He was predeceased by: his wife Agnes Kanderka; his brothers, Reinhold, Albert, Art, Otto, Elmer and Harold; and his sister-in-law Mary Hussin (Ken).
He is survived by: his siblings, August and Olga Meding; his siblings-in-law, Lila Meding of Olds, Joe Kanderka (June) and Clarence Kanderka (Millie); his children, Gerald (Brenda), Brenda, Barbara and Vernon (Andrea); his grandsons, Trevor (Katie), Brad (Jessica) and Austin (Helga); and his great grandchildren, Ethan, Turner, Kassidy, Addison, Lillian, Paisley, Hazel, Zoey, Madelyn and Maxtin.
