He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Winther and Elsie Winther (Peterson); his brother Bob (Phyllis); and his brothers-in-law, Norman Hoppins and Eddie Jensen.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Stennes; his children, Laureen Frere (Dan), Lorne (JoAnn Block), Earl (Lois Pennock), Gary (Fran Gorr), Elaine Crawford (Ian), Teresa Kish (Randy), Myrna Smith (Garnet) and Bill (Treina Yoos); his sisters, Mildred Hoppins and Eva Jensen; his siblings-in-law, Glenn Stennes (Mona) and Myrna Boyd; and his cousin Denmark. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
