He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Shaw (McGaffin) and Thomas E. Shaw; and his siblings, Don, Trish and John.
He is survived by: his wife Jude; his child Tamsin McComb (James); his grandchildren, Endelyn and Malcolm McComb; and his nieces and nephews, David Shaw, Meredith Shaw, Kristin Hanson (Eric) and Ethan Schlag.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Camrose & Area Animal Shelter in recognition of his affection for the motley crew of beloved pets who held an indelible place in his heart and featured prominently in some of his stories.
