He was predeceased by: his parents, Garfield Ivey and Edith Ivey (Minnie); his brother Gordon; his former wife Edwina O'Malley DeFrain; his daughter-in-law Claudette; and his wife Minnie Taylor.
He is survived by: his children, Shirley Piedt (Vern), Gordon, Douglas (Lorraine), Debbie Schmidt (Edgar) and Lorne (Janet). He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
