He was predeceased by: his parents, Larry Coombes and Rose Coombes; his grandparents, Marcella, Charles Price, Les and Corene Coombes; and his aunts and uncles, Leroy (Shirley Coombes), Barbara (Brian Ericksen), Lynda Schauermann, Hurley Price and Devota "Buddy" (Joe Godfrey).

He is survived by: his brother Tim Coombes of Calgary; his daughter Jennifer Watt (Alex); his grandchildren, Brandon, Angelle, Chase, Kyla, Emily and Logan; his son Troy Coombes (Samantha Gray); his sister Susan Coombes (Richard Bacho) of Taber; his niece Janis; his nephew Jayson; his aunt Margaret Price of Taber; his uncle Gordon Coombes of Calgary; and his cousins, Roseanne Horrocks, Ann Fulton, Mary Stewart (Jim), Boyd, Brad Schauermann, Lyle, Ray, Darrell, Dan Coombes, Patti Zabot and Marla Ericksen.
