She is survived by: her husband Bill Merkl; her children, Andrea Pyne of Drumheller, Paul Merkl of Barnwell, Sheila Terpstra (Jesse) of Barnwell and John Merkl of Barnwell; her grandchildren, Brittany Fletcher (Shawn), Hunter Pyne, Evelyn, Emily, Francine and Luke Terpstra; her great grandchildren, Zander Merkl, Jazlin and Zayla Fletcher; and her siblings-in-law, Ron Merkl (Cheryl), Ken Merkl (Jennifer), Joe Fiddler, Bing Meldrum and Stephanie Taillefer. She is also survived by fifteen nieces and nephews.
