It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louis Van Hereweghe in Taber, Alberta, born in Medstead, Saskatchewan, who passed away on October 16, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Van Hereweghe; his father Stan; his stepmother Eileen; his birth mother Fern; and his siblings, Harry Van Hereweghe (Shirley), Clarke Van Hereweghe (Elsie), Stanley Van Hereweghe, Glen Van Hereweghe, Marlene Redman and Elna Molyneaux.

He is survived by: his children, Carol Donahue (John, family: Tricia, Jason) of Taber and Ron Van Hereweghe (Flori, family: Stacey, Cody, Travis) of Romania; the mother of his children Linda; his daughter Lori Martha (Paul) of Brooks; his sisters, Linda Guilbault (Jim), Joyce Hayes and Darlene Evans (John); his siblings-in-law, Ann Richman and Don Redman; and also Beatrice. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
