George Schapansky Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Schapansky in Taber, Alberta, who passed away on January 22, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Schapansky and Katharina Schapansky; his siblings, Katie, Helen, Mary, Ann, Jake, Margaret, Agnes, Susan, Jack, Peter and Eva; his parents-in-law, Jessie and Harry Painter; his daughter-in-law Lori Schapansky; and his grandson-in-law Austin Bilodeau.

He is survived by: his wife Lily Schapansky; his son Dwayne Schapansky (Deb, family: Trevor Schapansky) of Hinton; his grandson Owen; his children, Brantley Schapansky and Kaytlyn Penner (Ben); his granddaughter Kaylee; his child Felysia Green (Nathan); his grandchildren, Kayanna and Jacob; his daughters, Eileen McNarland (Tim Berg, family: Bree, Gavin Davis) of Lethbridge and Rhonda McCutcheon (Derek); his grandchildren, Quinn and Connor McCutcheon; his brother Abe Shapansky; and his siblings-in-law, Harriet Turnbull (Tom), Elke Schapansky, Johnny Fehr and Lily Painter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
