He was predeceased by: his daughter Patcee Leahy Jensen; his sons-in-law, Michael Armstrong and Rob Laurie; his parents, Theresa Marie and Dennis William Leahy; and his siblings, George Leahy, Margaret Chisholm and Helen Eagan.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Katterhagen; his daughter Shelagh Armstrong; his grandchildren, Lynley, Natalie, Katherine, Caroline, Andrea, Jennifer and Colleen Kinniburgh; his great grandchildren, Zelda Gayle, Adam, Daniel, Christy, Susan and Jesse; his granddaughter Catherine Leahy; his great grandchildren, Tanya and Lisa; his granddaughter Bonnie Gunderson (Rick); his great grandchildren, Kieran and Maren; his granddaughter Connie Gross (Blaine); his great grandchild Mackenzie; his grandchild Erin Leahy; his son Kevin Leahy (Val); and his grandchild Tegan. He is also survived by eight children, eighteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
