He was predeceased by: his brother Bruce Hansum; his nephew Wade Drost; and also, Jim Kluyt, Wilma Kluyt, John Drost and Teruka Hansum.
He is survived by: his father Opa; his wife Dorothy; his grandchildren, Angela Mayner (Travis), Michelle Hansum, Heather Boon (Rylan), Cory Haller, Cody Haller (Nicole), Cheryl Kranenborg, John Kranenborg (Ashley), Christina Morris (Ryan) and David Kranenborg (Amanda); and also, John Hansum (Fran), Debbie Kranenborg (John), Brenda Hansum, Lennie Hansum, Tom Hansum, Casey Hansum (Renee), Corry Badger (Al), John Busaan (Wilma) and Audrey Noordhof (Bill). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews; his Scripture Search Group brothers and many dear friends.
