She was predeceased by: her husband Klaas Fokkema; her parents, Roelof and Geertje; and her brothers, Hans, Frank and George.
She is survived by: her children, Gloriane (Rob), Kimberley (David), Philip (Elizabeth), Amy and Jered; and her grandchildren, Zachary, Noah, Brooklynn, Olivia, Danica, Isaiah, Jessica and Ellie-Ann. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
