He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Bickerton and John Bickerton; his brothers, Jack, Don and Brian; his son Neil; his grandson Jason Stepple; and also, Hugo and Bernice Knott of Stettler, Alberta..

He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his daughter Brenda; his grandchildren, Teresa of Lethbridge and Trevor (Carmen Padilla) of Red Deer; his great grandchildren, Madeline, Marabel and Dexter Kleinfeld of Lethbridge; and his sisters, Neta Story and Shirley Mitchell of Nanaimo, BC. He is also survived by relatives, friends.
