He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin McHugh and Loretta McHugh; his former wife Janet; and his siblings, Audrey, Allen and Terrilea Ann.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Jim, Jennifer, Joanne, Carla, Francis, Greg and Gary; his grandchildren, Rose, Clinton, Robert, Sterling, Richard, Alicia, Keven, Dallas, Michael, Tiana, Alana, Keilah, Cheyanne, Nathaniel, Olivia and Sayda; his great grandchildren, Blaze, Harrison, Kruze, Alden and Kenai; and his siblings, Carol, Dennis, Gerald and Donald.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to the Joanne Overguard Memorial Fund to the New Sundre Hospital of the Pediatric Cleft and Palate Clinic of the Calgary Children's Hospital.
