He was predeceased by: his parents, Stan Christie and Mary Christie. He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Goertz (Jeremy), Bailey Hautzinger (Dan), Devon Leboldus (Matt) and Taylor Christie (Chelsea); his grandchildren, Coby, Isaiah, Ava, Foster Goertz, Brooklyn, Cohen Hautzinger, Decker, Quinn, Wade Leboldus, Joey, Bennett, Adaline and Theo Christie; his former wife Joan; and also, Val, Rhonda, Marlene and Darlene. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, August 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Hope Community Covenant Church (245 Brent Blvd, Strathmore, AB T1P1W4).
