It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Metro Fryk (Strathmore, Alberta), who passed away on October 18, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his former wife Sharon Nystrom; his parents, Dmytro and Paraska (Pearl); and his siblings, Bill, Alex, Nick, Annie, Mervyn, Mike, Benny and George.

He is survived by: his wife Flo; his children, Carolyn Praestegaard (Garth), Sharene Macsymic and Lawrence Fryk (Donna Hreys); his grandchildren, Dayna Praestegaard (Eric Kruse), Austin Praestegaard, Matthew Macsymic (Kelly), Vicky Macsymic, Pam Martin (John) and Ben Humphreys (Lyta Sarasith); his great grandchildren, Avery Kruse, James Leong, Caitland Hreys and Naveena Sarasith; his brothers, Fred and Leo (Joan); and his sister-in-law June.
