Joel Daniel Blakney Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 17, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Joel Daniel Blakney (Strathmore, Alberta), born in Mississauga, Ontario. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his uncle Tim Blakney; his grandfather Albert Boesenkool; and his brother-in-law Kurt Fromm. He is survived by: his wife Carly; his daughter Chloe; his parents, Todd Blakney and Audra Blakney; his siblings, Teneal Blakney, Logan Blakney and Ryley Blakney; his parents-in-law, Jerri Lynn Ralph and Lloyd Fromm; his brother-in-law Clayton Fromm; and his grandparents, Marge Boesenkool, Jacob Guenther, Tom and Shirley Blakney. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Due to Covid protocols a private funeral service will be held at Wheatland Funeral Chapel on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 1:00 pm.

As per Joel's wishes, memorial contributions may be mailed to Box 10, Site 2, RR1, Strathmore, Alberta T1P 1J6, c/o Carly Blakney, which will be put towards an education fund for Chloe.
