He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Alice Emily Caveny; his son Terry James Caveny; his daughter-in-law Marie Caveny; his grandson Myles Caveny; and his son Neil Caveny.

He is survived by: his children, Mark Caveny, Patti Kilpatrick (Lloyd), Marilee Hunt (Barrie) and Wendy Attwell (Dan); his daughter-in-law Penny Caveny; and his sister Vera Walker. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
