He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Kroon and Hannah Kroon (Schmutte); and his siblings, Jean, Babe Kroon (Harris) and Wilda (Pashak).

He is survived by: his children, Gerry Kroon (Ruth), Gail McKenzie (Bryan) and Gwen Tellier (Arthur); his grandchildren, Sebastian, Cai'lin, Kimberly, Pamela, Chelsey and Pascale; his great grandchildren, Isla, Daphne, Cody, Sarah, Riley and Gage; and his wife Thelma Long.
