He was loved and cherished by many people including: his close friend Ron of Calgary; his children, Kelly Hein (Marsha) of Strathmore and Sonya Elias of Calgary; his grandchildren, Mateo Elias, Landon and Hayley Hein; his siblings, Larry Hein (Deb) of Victoria, B. C, Arlene Filkohazy (Robert) of Hussar, Fay Bangle (Doug) of Strathmore, Debbie Laycock (Glenn) of Rosebud and Valerie Thevenaz (Maurice) of Drumheller; his parents, George Hein and Ella Hein; and his grandmother Katie Rutschke. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19 Restrictions a small family graveside service was held at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery on June 4, 2021 at 2:30 pm.
