Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Eldon George Blanchard (Strathmore, Alberta), born in Medicine Hat, Alberta, who passed away, on July 21, 2021. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Blanchard and Jean Blanchard; his brother-in-law Gordon Heisler; his parents-in-law, Victor and Josephine Opp; and his siblings-in-law, Brian Opp and Bonnie Adams.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his children, Cheryl Smithson (Garry Runions) of Medicine Hat and Murray (Tasha) of Strathmore; his grandchildren, Nathan Smithson (Kerstin), Matthew Smithson (Lauren), Zachary Smithson and Celsey Smithson (Jorel); his great grandchild Rhyden Smithson of Medicine Hat; and his siblings, Gwen Heisler of Medicine Hat and Dennis Blanchard (Lorraine) of Calgary. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
