Jamie Affleck Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 24, 2018, Jamie Affleck (Stony Plain, Alberta) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Hartley Affleck, Jim Graham and Mary Graham. He is survived by: his wife Monica; his children, Felicity, Finn and Forrest; his parents, Mary Affleck and Lavern Affleck; his siblings, Kent Affleck (Katrina), Crystal Livingston (Larry), Tyson Affleck, Dustin Affleck (Alicia) and Wade Affleck (Lindsay); his parent-in-law Derwin Massey (Judy); his brothers-in-law, Scott Massey (Vanessa) and Kirby Massey (Dixie); and his grandmother Ruth Hoecherl (Mel). He is also survived by his 16 nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

Donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute.

“I will never forget the impression Jamie and Monica made on me in 2003. It was before I left the field to go to the Orient round of convs. We were staying at Greg and Kathy's in Narrogin and Jamie and Monica, who were on their honeymoon were staying with Alan and Sally Graham. They came together with Grahams, to the fellowship mtg that morning in Jan/Feb. It was obvious from their testimonies that they were reading together already! They both spoke from those first chapters in Genesis. They said something like this... Jamie - " ...he was glad God had planned for man to have a helpmeet and he wanted to do his part and be faithful in helping in the unity of that relationship. " Monica - "...she was glad of the one God had given her and she wanted to make sure she wasn't like Eve in tempting Adam (or Jamie) in things where God had said No! " Just 15 years of marriage! God saw He could trust Monica and Jamie with this trial of their faith. May you continue to come forth as gold. Raine”
