Metro was predeceased by: son Dale; parents, Ilko and Pearl; and siblings, Anne Chimko, Mary Syroid, Harry Karpyshyn, Mike Karpyshyn, Kay Stratichuk and Irene Orstad.

Metro is survived by: wife Lily; grandchildren, Evan and Kristen Dyki; siblings, Rose Kozak, Stella Muzyka (Nick), Agnes Dytiuk and Walter (Arlene); and sister-in-law Helen Karpyshyn. Metro is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
