He is survived by: his wife Lucille; his child Koreen Trefanenko (Dean Sonntag); his grandsons, Jonathan, Matthew (Emma) and Jacob (Claire); his daughter Maureen Ference (Lawrence); his grandchildren, Zachary, Allison and Lisa; his child Glen Trefanenko (Allison); his grandchildren, Brooke and Leah; his siblings, Charlie (Sharon), Bill (Rosemary), George (Norma), Steve (Jennifer), Lil Yakimishyn and Kay Willekes (Arnold); and his godchildren, Brenda Binette and Kari MacLean. He is also survived by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Grace Gardens Funeral Chapel (5626 51 St, St. Paul, AB T0A3A1).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Haying in the 30's (Cancer Support Society), St. Paul & District Hospital Foundation (Palliative Care), or a charity of one's choice ℅ 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB. T0A 3A1.
