He was predeceased by: his wife Rose; his parents, Leon and Margret; and his brothers, Rosaire and Gilles.

He is survived by: his sons, Mitchell (Julie) and Brian (Denise); his grandchildren, Mallory Dykstra (Chris), Jeremie, Hannah and Caleb; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Cody, Trevor and Julia; and his siblings, Claude, Pierre and Agnes.
