He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew and Edna; his siblings, Baby John "Charles", Jim and Dorothy Svanda (Dan); his brother-in-law John Monka; and his son-in-law Alan Noel.

He is survived by: his children, Margaret Noel, Ken, Robert (Karen), Gail Gordon and Darlene Broberg (Doug); his sisters, Bernice Monka, Bridgete Henkleman (Don) and Caroline Twittey (Sid); and his sister-in-law Marg Ralstin. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
