It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Maria Wassing of Spruce Grove, Alberta, who passed away at the age of 96, on September 17, 2024. She was predeceased by: her husbands, Marinus VandenBiggelaar and Tony Wassing; her son Gerry VandenBiggelaar; and her siblings, Joke, Netty, Gerard, Henk and Antoon.

She is survived by: her children, Ad/Ed (Cathy), Adriana (Henri), Martin (Lisa) and Rudy (Tracy); her stepdaughter Nellie Roukema; her brother Jan (Joke); and her siblings-in-law, Tony (Bea) and Gerda. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grand-children.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Park Memorial Chapel (9709 111 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5G0B2).
