He is survived by: his wife Marlene; his children, Dawn Summer of Campbell River, BC, Geoffrey and Liora of Spruce Grove, AB; his grandchild Michaela Rutledge-Taylor of Campbell River, BC.; and his siblings, Reit Heeringa (Don), Dirk (Betty), Christine Vanbeek (Jake Griffioen) and Gilbert (Alayne). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family and close friends.
