He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry Rivers and Betty Rivers; his brother Garry; and his nephew Jason Haden. He is survived by : his wife Betty Lee; his sons, Scott (Isabelle) and Bill Jr. (Liz); his grandchildren, Logan, Mason, Abby, Liam Oliver, Kaden and Scarlett; his daughter Ellen of Germany; and also, Sherron Haden (Gary), Jim (Judy), Randy (Andrea), Kelly Kennedy (Randy) and Keith Bailey. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
