He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward and Dorothy Hill (Mitchell); and his siblings, Jim, Ken and Marilyn.

He is survived by: his wife Deanna (Rukavina); his daughter Danette Loewen of Red Deer; his grandchildren, Katelyn Daoust (Peter) and Kallie (Brayden); his daughter Darlene Laidlaw (Jim) of Calgary; his grandson Liam (Danica); his children, Jane and Derek Hill (Mellissa) of Whitecourt; his granddaughter Isabella; and his son Soren.
