He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean Blancher of Ingersoll and George Blancher of Ingersoll; his sister Deborah Brenzil; and his brother-in-law Gary Brenzil. He is survived by: his significant other Blanche (Hossack); his sons, Corrie (Mel), Larrie (Tracy), Darrell Shier (Anna) and Popa; his grandchildren, Deanna, Skyler, Vanessa, Alyssa, Ryan, Brayden and Sydney; his parent-in-law George Hossack; his brother-in-law George Hossack (Marilyn); and also Beatrice Hossack. He is also survived by wife of 33 years, best friend.
