We are sad to announce that on August 9, 2021, at the age of 87, Fred Matwychuk of Spedden, Alberta passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his former wife Esther; his parents, Alexander Matwychuk and Irene Matwychuk; and his brothers, Peter and Johnny.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his daughters, Carla Matwychuk, Tanya Matwychuk and Melissa Vasseur (Jamie); his grandchildren, Maia, Samuel, Mira, Elias, Poppi and Georgi; his sisters, Mary Anderson and Anne Filipchuk (Cornel); and his sister-in-law Pat Kopala (Ron). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews & friends.

Memorial donations will be gratefully accepted to: Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Spedden or STARS Foundation c/o 5626 – 51 Street, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A1.
