She was predeceased by : her son-in-law Brian Cherniwchan; her granddaughter Serena Mykytiuk; her siblings, John, Lena, Annie, Mary, Helen, Nancy and Nick; her parents, Katrina Bogdan (Ratzoy) and Andrew Bogdan; and her husband Mike Mykytiuk.

She is survived by : her children, Michael Sparling (Suzanne), Penny Cherniwchan (Jude MacLean), Gerald Mykytiuk (Cathy), Leslie Mykytiuk (Karen Pedlar) and Tom Mykytiuk (Brenda); her grandchildren, Jarrett Mykytiuk (Jackie), Caitlin Whitson (Connor), Aaron Cherniwchan, Alisha Bate (Nelson), Ethan Mykytiuk (Eleanor), Zachary Sparling, Veronica Mykytiuk and Michael Mykytiuk; and her great grandchildren, Elliana, Arlo, Grace, Oscar, Eli and Loretta. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many good friends.

“Condolences to our cousins on the passing of Aunty Kathleen. Annabelle (Wolanski) and I fondly remember all the wonderful times we spent visiting Aunty Kathleen. My dad, Bill Wolanski always was happiest when in Smoky Lake surrounded by family, and loved to see Aunty Kathleen, the tiny lady with the big voice. We will miss her greatly.
