Allan Lorne Garred Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dad and husband; on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, Allan Lorne Garred of Smoky Lake, Alberta passed away at the age of 76 years. Allan is survived by his loving family, his wife: Rita Garred; daughter: Jacqueline (Rick) Smith; son: Lorne (Angie) Garred; three grandchildren: Brooke Garred, Mitchel Smith, Dillon Smith; one cherished great granddaughter: Devaya Garred; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Also mourning his loss are his six sisters: Amy (Lawrence) Tychowsky, Laura (Jim) Zabrick, Susan (John) Kastelen, Joanne (Eugene) Perepeletza, Karen (Blair) Everall, Audrey Johnson. Allan was predeceased by his parents: John & Jennie Garred; sister: Colleen Sheppard; brother: Gary Garred; nephew: Ronald Perepeletza. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ukrainian National Hall, Smoky Lake, Alberta with Pastor Reo Ganson officiating. Pallbearers: Wes Hrehorets, Shawn Zabrick, Robert Kastelan, Graham Dalziel, Lawrence Rogoza, Randy Sawchuk. Interment to follow at Methodist Cemetery established 1910, located on TWP RD 584A, 0.7 km east of RR 170 in the county of Smoky Lake, Alberta. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Haying in the 30's, PO Box 35, Mallaig, AB T0A 2K0.
