He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth; his parents, Reg and Mary; his sister Elizabeth McNeil; his son-in-law Randy Leighton; and his siblings-in-law, Oda, Joyce, Lois, Gerry, Jim, David, Donald and Allen.
He is survived by: his children, Calvin (Tina) of Grande Prairie, Wanda Leighton of Marten Beach and Patricia Lewis of Medicine Hat; his siblings, David of Edmonton, Tom (Jean) of Grande Prairie, Dorothy Honeysett of Calgary and Shirley Kruetzfeld (Ernie) of Ponoka; his uncle Glen Gant of Kelowna, BC; and his siblings-in-law, Alvin Johnson of Cochrane, Paul Johnson (Bonnie) of Parksville, BC, Gordon Johnson (Anna Mae) of Cochrane, Elaine Stanley (Dennis) of Rimbey, Margaret Johnson of Edmonton and Terry Johnson of Wetaskiwin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
