He is survived by: his significant other Frieda; his children, Richard Schaaf (Pauline), Peter Schaaf (Kathy) and Christine Thompson (Owen); his grandchildren, Karen Pankiw (Louis), Sara Lysak (Adam), James Schaaf, Travis Schaaf (Denise), Vanessa Burke (Chuck) and Stacey Schaaf; and his siblings, Louis (Lorene), John Schaaf (Susan) and Anna Selzer. He is also survived by four great grand-children.
