He was predeceased by: his parents, George Avery and Ruth Avery; his sister Debra; his wife Dolores May Avery; and his son Calvin Avery.

He is survived by: his daughters, Siobhan and Sharon; his son-in-law Tom; his daughter Zahrah; his daughter-in-law Jania (Neil Huestis); and his grandchildren, Gaelen, Elsie, Mary, Jason, Conor, Kailey, Ronan, Kieran, Brendan and Aidan.
