He was predeceased by: his parents, Jane Thurgood and Joseph Thurgood; and his siblings, Bill (Wynn), Jim (Pat) and Alice (Fred).
He is survived by: his wife Georgina; his children, Brian (Carol), Brenda (Wayne) and Sherry (Terry); his grandchildren, Harrison (Cindy), Hunter (Caili), Taylor (Nole), Madison (Dylan), Alayna, Peter (Ally), Melanie, Tamara (Richard) and Ben (Jenny); and his great grandchildren, Sebastian and Cypress. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ray's memory can be made to Alzheimer Society of Canada for dementia research and support or Diabetes Canada.
