He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilhelm and Berta; and his brother Erwin. He is survived by: his wife Toni; his sister Helga Wachholz (Egon); his nephew Andy Wachholz (Barb); his niece Melanie Boschman (Wesley); his great-nephew Luke; and his great-niece Victoria.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Alzheimer Society or the Tertiary Palliative Care (Unit 43) at the Grey Nuns Hospital.
