He was predeceased by: his parents, Eleanor MacLeod and Bruce MacLeod; his wife Bonnie; his brother John MacLeod; and his brother-in-law Jim Brodie.

He is survived by: his children, Doug (Sandy) and Heather; his grandchildren, Chris (Amy), Amanda (Ryan) and Shannon (Dale); his great grandchildren, Nathan, Avery, Parker and Emily; and his sisters-in-law, Jacquie Miller (Jim) and Linda Brodie. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
