He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert and Ruth. He is survived by: his wife Peggy; his children, Garth and Lisa (Dan); his grandchildren, Sofia, Bren and Lucas; and his sisters, Carol (Dale) and Grace (Ray). He is also survived by nieces and nephews and many family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ardrossan United Church, the Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind or a charity of one's choice.
