He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alfred Vellupillai Thambyayah and Jane Selvanayaki Amma; his wife Reeta Sarojini; his son Delakshan; his daughter-in-law Banurekha; and his grandchildren, Alan Sanjay and Abi Sreeja. He was also cherished by his wife, son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, family members and friends.

Due to the current Covid 19 restrictions, a private celebration of life and burial will be held on January 14th.
