He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo and Christine; and his brothers, David and Ralph. He is survived by: his daughters, Lorinda (Edwin) and Melanie (Kris); his grandchildren, Cassandra, Brenna, Megan and Bea; his brothers, Allan (Laverne), Dale (Jackie) and Tim (Wendy); and the mother of his children Roberta. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.

Memorial donations may be made online to Canadian Diabetes Association or Edmonton Humane Society in lieu of flowers in Gordie's name.
