Eldon Schechtel Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eldon Schechtel (Sherwood Park, Alberta), born in Macklin, Saskatchewan, who passed away on March 18, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son David; his parents, Amos and Betty; his siblings, Gwen Wiesner and Eric; and his brothers-in-law, Ed DeGrande, Milton Makarowski and Bill Nixon.

He is survived by: his wife Elaine; his sons, Terry, Steven (Marnie) and Stuart (Terra); his daughter-in-law Stacy; his grandchildren, Rebecca (Joel Muise), Tamara (Josh McMahan), Tyler, Ethan, Kyle, Reid, Cassie and Kendra; his sisters, Del DeGrande, Celine Makarowski, Carol Blume (Jim), Cathy Nixon and Brenda Stempfle (Paul); his parents-in-law, Mary-Lou Schechtel, Vincent Wiesner and Bob Brimacombe (Jeannie); and his daughter-in-law Heather Wagner (Ted). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
