She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Eichel and Ethel Eichel; her former husband Bill Thompson; and her parents-in-law, Bill, Doreen Thompson and Otto Fischer.

She is survived by: her husband Harvey; her children, Dallas (Gail), Duane (Steph) and Billie Jean (Joe); her grandchildren, Seth, Emma, Reece and Rylee; and her siblings, Doug (Jan), Shirley (Kerry) and Diane (Keith). She is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Memorial donations may be made to charities near to her heart; the Cross Cancer Institute, Stars Air Ambulance or a charity of one's choice.
