Allan Selin Obituary

We are sad to announce that on July 28, 2024, Allan Selin (Sherwood Park, Alberta) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Allan shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Allan farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He is survived by: his wife Ina Selin; his children, Natoina (Ray) of Carstairs and Harley of Edmonton; and his sister Joyce of Calgary. He is also survived by many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Youth Can Fish 2 Society of Alberta.

“Al had joined our MOVE weekly outdoor walking group for the past 10 years. Al joked that he needed to keep coming to the walks to earn a beer and piece of cake. I will miss the chats with Al where he'd tell us all about Edmonton history and changes he grew up through, or stories about previous work, trips, and lost friends. I'll miss the jokes and laughs we shared the most. Condolences to Ina and Harley and the rest of his loved ones. Al was a kind man and his MOVE crew will miss him dearly.”

He was funny, kind hearted, knowledgeable in so many ways and had the patience of a Saint. He'll always be remembered by myself & my 3 boys for his Slave Lake fishing ventures & IBEW fishing derby's.
