He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Robert Venters and Margaret Venters; and his brothers, Robin, David and Tim Venters.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; his children, Dona (Reiny) and Dave (Amanda); his grandchildren, Karissa Heard (Brandon), Austin Plewis (Shy), Kaylee Klassen (Logan), Sara Venters and Brooke Venters; his great grandchildren, Scottie Heard, Lincoln, Jace, Liam, Truett Plewis and Tori Giroux; and his uncles, Robin and Alan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, in-laws, and many friends.
