She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Carrell and Ralph Carrell; her son Dwain Foster; and her siblings, Gwen, Eunice, Don and Pat.

She is survived by: her former husband Raymond Foster of Sexsmith, AB; her husband Elmer Canning of Dawson Creek, BC; her children, Janus Olson (Ray), Ben Foster (Lorraine) and Ruth Holmes (Tony); her daughter-in-law Cecilie Letting; and her stepchildren, Doug Canning (Helen) and Diane Shellborne (Brian). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of memorial donations, or flowers Iva requests that you perform a random act of kindness.
