She was predeceased by: her parents, Dietrich Matthies and Anna Matthies; and her siblings, Arthur Matthies, Mary Patterson and Edwin Matthies.
She is survived by: her husband Jacob of Seven Persons; her children, Mark Penner (Debbie) of Seven Persons, Catherine Ann Friesen (Walter) of Winnipeg and Lenore Marie Dyke (Carl) of Sylvan Lake; and her sister Helen Goertzen of Saskatoon. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and spouses; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
