He was predeceased by: his son Michael; his parents, David Summers and Margaret Summers; and his parents-in-law, Alvin and Evelyn Fischer.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Fischer; his child Kari (Matthew); his grandchildren, Makayla and Mark; his children, Robert and Jennifer (Neil); his grandchild Desirae; his daughter Lisa (Joshua); his sisters, Bel (Gordon), Effie (Kevin) and Joan; his nieces and nephews, Emily (Craig), David, Brendan, Kate (Daniel) and Kailin; and his aunt Marnie.
Due to COVID restrictions and Jim's concern for others' safety, a private family service will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, followed by the interment at Hillside Cemetery.
