He is survived by: his wife Marina Metz (Hollinger); his children, Shelley Hoffman (Barry), Lynn Krasowski (Don) and Darren Metz (Rebecca); his stepchildren, Doug Hollinger and Curtis Hollinger (Tanya); his grandchildren, Dodi Smith (Darcy), Shaun Werle (Kristi), Brandi Verigin (Adam), Christie Trembicki (Justin), Emily Metz, Eric Metz, Natalie Hoffman (Kyle), Jeannie Otsuka DeSilva (Leo), John Hoffman, Kailyn Hollinger and Gavin Hollinger; his sister Carol Busse (Max); and his sister-in-law Geraldine Metz (Clair).

Memorial donations in memory of Lyle may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
